Dapper Day November 17th and 18th 2018

What better way to celebrate Dapper Day than to take a stroll with the baby carriage and find Mary Poppins strolling down the street. Because it was also Mickey Mouse’s birthday, there were several characters walking around, greeting guests and posing for photos.
We always have lots of friends we see on Dapper Days. And when we have a Dapper Day banner with us, we get lots of volunteers to show the sign. Lawrence Stoen in the photo at the right is one of the long-term Dapper gentlemen. He always dresses wonderfully and makes bowties to match the theme.
So many of our friends and acquaintances have a special ability to set up the best poses! Doozer LaFae is one of thos people. She is always animated and looking like she does this for a living.
Fiona Bagwan is another one of those who is natural with making cute poses. Her outfits and hats are wonderful and her poses are just the cutest.
When we found out that Erin was expecting, we told her we wanted to bring the baby carriage and get some photos with Aiden. He was just the right age and size to pose with the carriage. It was quite warm by that time, so we only got a few good pictures with him, but he is a darling baby and will be a fun part of our group for years to come.
Katie is Aiden’s big sister, and as proud as she can be of him. She is often mistaken as his mother rather than his sister, but she just takes it in stride. She is in her first year of college. Their brother also loves Aiden and helps the family take good care of him.
Dapper ladies and gentlemen abound on Dapper Day weekend. Here is just a sampling of the fancy people from the Magic Kingdom on Saturday.
Chip showed up for several hours. looking as wonderful as ever.
Our neighbor boys, Nathan and Ean, showed up for a short time, but chose not to dress dapper this time.
Vanessa had joined us the evening before for a short time, and we have enjoyed catching up with her again.
Stacy was without her son Robbie on this day because he had a singing engagement, but he joined her the next day for the fun.
We always love seeing the Main Street characters at the Magic Kingdom. And they appreciate all of the outfits and the things that we wear every year. This lady is one of our favorites.
Here are some more photos of Xavier pushing the baby carriage. He was absolutely fascinated with it. Isn’t he just the sweetest little dapper gentleman?
Yvette and her escort for the day. So classy in their dapper clothing. She dresses just as nicely in her every day life.
Our Susan is one of the mainstays in our group. Not only does she dress impeccably, and always looking perfect, but she is an amazing photographer, too. She has a real keen eye for a great photograph, and usually we don’t even realize she is carrying a camera.
Marina had a wild idea that she would have everyone sign her dress material and then she would take it home in the evening and sew it together and wear it the next day. Joanie thought she was crazy, but she did it. Photos later of how well it turned out. If we signed the dress, we got a button saying that we did.
