Dapper Day at Walt Disney World is so much fun. Please dress up and come join us on the next Dapper Day. They have the event twice a year. You will not find it on the Disney page because it’s not a sponsored event. It started in California and has moved to Florida and Disney in France.The gentleman in the uniform is Tim.
We meet Tim at our first Dapper Day in October 2015. He had a 35mm camera. You know me - if I see a camera I am on it like light on film. We talked about 35mm cameras and I just loved the uniform. I had just gotten an Ike jacket from 1944. Tim is a very nice guy. If you see him he will be very well dressed for the part. He does not make short cuts when it comes to Dapper Day or other events. I am still looking for a 1944 army hat like Tim’s but I am cheap.Yes, that is Ray and Joanie at their first
Dapper Day in the fall of 2015.
We were not sure what was going to happen that day. We got to Hollywood Studio’s first thing in the morning and people were coming in just looking at us. Then some nice ladies came in and we asked them if there would be a lot of others showing up. Please say yes. They said “ you will see a lot of people a little later.” Good. It was good to get some reassurance. The nice ladies Met us at the front entrance and were the first Dapper people we saw. They assured us that other Dapper people will be coming as the day goes on. Didn’t get their names but they were very nice to us. Thank you.
