Jason reading all about Prohibition while having lunch with his girl, Lady A as they call her. “A” for the first letter and you get the first bullet. She has knocked off more bootleggers than Jason. They are seen here having lunch at the Famous Brown Derby in Los Angeles. We think they came to California to beat the heat in Chicago. It looks like Lady A is having a little drink of her own. We believe we saw her pull a flask out of her purse, but we are sure the management will not say a word about it.

Movie stars came out for this big event of the grand opening of the famous Hollywood Tower Hotel. The lights of Hollywood were shining brightly over the sky. Car after car came to the front of the Tower to welcome movie stars like Actress Joan in her new designer dress and fan by Endless fashions. Millie is still filming “My Little Logan,” a story about a little boy who loves to dress up in all kinds of costumes that look like tea cups, and toys. The glamourous star JoAnn was seen posing for a photograph with a young fan whose name, we found out, was Lexie. She looked like a young lady with ambitions to be discovered by a Hollywood director. Other starlets like Heather and Kellie stopped to pose for the photographers in hopes of making all the important Hollywood publications.
Em just got through filming “ Garden Party,” a story about a young girl that had to work in the orange groves of Florida to help support her mother and sibling while the war in Europe was going on.
Actress Joan and her photographer husband with the Lady A. Watch out - Lady A is wanted in 15 states for murder and bootlegging. Her bodyguard, Jason must have full control of the Tower for her to be seen here.
This photo was take by a security guard that is still missing? Hit man Johnny and his little pal Baxter on the right (Baxter hiding in the back). Actress Sherri Davis, sister of Betty Davis on the left. Rumor has it Sherri and Hit man Johnny are seeing each other. That is all we are going to say. We overheard the hit man repeating, “The concrete is still wet” several times during the evening. What a day with actresses, hit men and bootleggers here for the opening of the Hollywood Tower. Actress Lady A and her body guard are shielded behind the rest of the group, probably for security reasons. It is said that the body guard has been known to muscle anyone trying to get too close to her.
Another young and rising star, Amanda, was seen, trying to remain incognito so as not to be mobbed by the press. She was a child star and it is rumored she is filming a new movie about a rebellious teenager.
There were so many stars at the opening, it was difficult to know where to look next. Each seemed to be more glamorous than the one before her, an all were anxious to be seen by the public and the press members.
The Hollywood mega star Joan, seems to be getting more comfortable being seen in public with her photographer/husband now that the news of their long-term marriage has come to light. They are even seen kissing in public while waiting for a table a the prestigious Brown Derby restaurant.
With a tall, strong body guard and a hit man taking care of security issues for this group of stars, they seem to be more at ease entering the elevator in the lobby. Big stars are always aware that they are in the spotlight and can be mobbed by adoring fans at any time. We believe that this elevator is taking them to a party in one of the private dining rooms in the Tower. Many groups of stars were seen going into private meeting rooms and there seemed to be private parties everywhere throughout the building.
Breaking news of the prohibition legislation being passed took this Hollywood crowd by suprise. They certainly seemed to believe that it would never pass. It looked like they were slightly defiant of the new law. Or maybe they were just trying to get their last tastes of liquor before all of the bars were closed and the suppliers put out of business.
Actress Joan’s husband seemed to believe that the new prohibition law is a good idea. It looks like he is intent on turning in this young violator of the new law. He is ready to call the police to make an arrest.
After this photographer warned this young party girl, he did indeed call the police, who promptly came to the site and took the offender off in handcuffs. She was clearly inebriated and put up a fuss, but was quickly subdued and taken to be booked on charges of public intoxication and unlawful possession of alcohol.
